  • Accelerated Cognitive Development

  • Early socialization and listening skills

  • Essential underwater communication and instinctive response to open-water

Philosophy

I start with a foundation of safety, breath control, and buoyancy, which eventually leads to propulsion. Once we understand these basic physics, we begin to incorporate the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes. Swimming involves your core and legs, contrary to what most people see above the water. Body position is critical, and it takes time and practice to master.

About

In New York, I worked for Imagine Swimming—in Tribeca— for 7 years. I taught regular lessons and assisted with the Makos, Water Polo, Synchro, and Squad teams. I helped develop the Parent and Me program for ages 3 and under which were some of my favorite classes.

While employed at Imagine I was tasked with and completed the redesign and restructuring of the “Teacher Training Program”. I hold current certifications in CPR, AED, and Infant CPR. I've been a certified lifeguard and had my WSI certification for over 10 years. I’m also a member of USA Swimming and attend practice with TNYA whenever possible.
